Music Poster Design

As the lead graphic designer for WKDU, Drexel University's independent radio station, I create visually striking designs that reflect the station's rebellious, avant-garde personality. My work ranges from comprehensive weekly schedules to event posters, each tailored to capture the eclectic mix of shows, music genres, and the underground culture that WKDU represents. For the station schedule, I designed a layered, high-contrast layout that merges readability with a gritty, collage-like aesthetic. Using bold typography, rough textures, and high-contrast colors, I sought to embody WKDU’s alternative identity while maintaining clarity for easy navigation. Event posters further explore this raw style, with hand-drawn typography and distressed visuals to evoke the energy and DIY spirit of live performances. I aimed to create an eye-catching, cohesive look that resonates with WKDU’s audience and amplifies the impact of each event. Each design is a balance of creative experimentation and functional communication, ensuring WKDU’s brand identity stays fresh, edgy, and unmistakably unique.
